Tiny Dancer

Backpost: June 3, 2009
Since August 2008, every Saturday morning consisted of us getting up and getting to dance class for Gabriella. She was going to the most fantastic studio I have ever seen, mainly because their family atmosphere and love for dance is strong within those walls. (Check out Artistic Motion Dance in Gilbert, AZ if you want your princess or lil' man to dance!!!)

ALL those months of preparation led to June 2, recital night! My little girl was such the dancing diva. She went out there on stage, did her routine with a little of her own thing and got her very first trophy ever! She spent the rest of the recital after her dance watching every single routine and paying extreme attention to the dancers. She was made to be a dancer.

It was hard, watching that chapter come to a close. Knowing she won't be returning in August for her 2nd year of dance. Knowing she won't see her friends weekly. The recital was close of that part of her life. Hopefully a close that can easily be reopened in a couple years. She honestly loves dance, and deserves the chance to do it when after she gets her new heart, and THAT I will be determined to have happen! Watching those bigger girls dance, I felt myself desperate to see my teen up there doing the same thing in a decade.
